Class of 2026 Updates
The Jockey Club Officially Approves Miavanti and Lady Greyswan
The names are officially approved.
Just one day after submitting the finalist names to The Jockey Club, both Class of 2026 fillies officially received approval:
Miavanti
Lady Greyswan
Thank you again to everyone who submitted names and participated in the voting process. We loved seeing the creativity, symbolism, and thoughtfulness behind so many of the entries.
While the final approved names ultimately came from Horse Husband Stables submissions, we still wanted to add one more layer that allows members to help shape Lady Greyswan’s story moving forward.
Miavanti Will Be “Mia”
For Miavanti, we’ve officially settled on the barn name “Mia.”
She has already very clearly become Mia around the farm, and it simply fits her perfectly.
Help Choose Lady Greyswan’s Barn Name
At the bottom of this article, members of the Class of 2026 members will find a voting form where Class of 2026 members can help select Lady Greyswan’s everyday barn name.
The Three Finalists
Grace
“Grace” pulls naturally from the sound and flow of “Lady Greyswan” while also pairing beautifully with “Mia,” giving us “Grace and Mia” as a duo of fillies who will grow up together. The name feels elegant, timeless, and fitting for her presence and movement.
Kara
“Kara” carries connections to her pedigree and family story. It serves as a nod to her sire, Knicks Go, by referencing the K-pop group KARA since Knicks Go is owned by the Republic of Korea.
Interestingly, “Knicks” itself actually references the Korean pedigree nicking system “K Nicks,” rather than the New York Knicks.
The name additionally ties into Norse mythology through swan-associated Valkyrie lore, connecting back to her grandmother Lady Macjazz (“Freja”), whose barn name was inspired by the Norse goddess Freyja.
Swan
“Swan” directly connects to Lady Greyswan’s registered name and reflects many of the qualities we already associate with her. Between her long legs needing time to unfold, evolving gray coat, and naturally elegant build, the name feels especially fitting as she continues to grow and mature.
Recognizing the Top Member-Submitted Names
We also want to recognize the highest-voted member-submitted names outside of the Horse Husband Stables entries.
We’ll be reaching out soon to send a little Foal to Forever swag to the member who submitted the top non-HHS finalist names for each filly.
Miavanti Runner-Up: Careless Whysper — submitted by Desiree Vurpillatte (Class of 2025 member)
Lady Greyswan Runner-Up: Lady Knicks — also submitted by Desiree Vurpillatte (Class of 2025 member)
Thank you again for helping shape these fillies’ stories from the very beginning.
Class of 2026 Members can vote using the form below. Voting will end Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 11:59pm EST. Note: you must be logged in as a Class of 2026 member to access the voting form.
Class of 2026 Naming Results: Top Names Submitted for Jockey Club Approval
Pending final approval from The Jockey Club, the top-selected names for the Class of 2026 fillies have officially been submitted after 195 name submissions and a competitive member vote. Plus, Class of 2026 members will soon help choose Dyana’s filly’s future barn name.
Dyana's Filly Update: Extensor Tendons, Tiny Turnout, and Tiny Shoes
We had our equine podiatrist out to evaluate Naughty this morning, and overall, we are feeling much better about where things stand.
Dyana’s Filly Had Her First Poultice Application
Dyana’s filly, “Naughty,” gave us a bit of a scare yesterday after developing swelling and soreness in both front legs following turnout. Thankfully, she remained bright, nursing normally, and fever-free overnight, and the swelling has already improved with stall rest, poultice, and close monitoring. Here’s a closer look at what happened, what we were watching for, and why small changes matter so much with growing foals.
Vote to Name the Class of 2026 Fillies
The submissions are officially in.
Over the past two weeks, Foal to Forever members and followers submitted names for the two newest fillies at Horse Husband Stables. After reviewing submissions, checking character limits, and screening for Jockey Club eligibility and availability, the final voting list is ready.
Now it’s time for the Class of 2026 members to help decide what names these fillies will carry for the rest of their lives.
These names will become:
• race calls
• pedigree records
• social media identities
• and part of their permanent story within the Foal to Forever program
────────────────────
How Voting Works
• Voting is limited to active Class of 2026 Foal to Forever members
• Each member may select up to 3 names per filly
• You are not ranking the names — simply select up to 3 favorites for each filly
• If results are extremely close or result in a tie, Horse Husband Stables may conduct a secondary runoff vote
• Winning names will be submitted to The Jockey Club for official registration
• If a winning name is unavailable or denied by The Jockey Club, Horse Husband Stables reserves the right to move to the next eligible finalist
Voting will remain open until Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 11:59pm EST

Official Horse Husband Stables Submissions
Lady Greyswan
Lady Dyanaformer’s Filly (by Knicks Go)
This name evolved from several overlapping ideas that slowly came together into one story.
The foundation was simple: she is the first gray horse ever raised by Horse Husband Stables.
Originally, the idea was simply “the gray one” out in the field. From there, the name evolved into something more elegant and symbolic.
The “Lady” portion continues the established maternal naming tradition within this family:
• Lady Macjazz
• Lady Dyanaformer
• Lord Paycasso
• Lady Calliope
The “Grey” spelling was intentionally chosen over “Gray” because it felt slightly softer, more European, and more refined.
As the name evolved, the swan imagery began to fit her story perfectly:
• the contrast between black swan and white swan
• her mix of sweet and mischievous personality traits
• and the “ugly duckling to swan” transformation after being born with contracted tendons and needing early leg support.
The name also carries a subtle nod to Norse mythology through Kára, a Valkyrie associated with swan shapeshifting, feminine power, and protection in battle.
Potential barn names considered:
• Kara
• Grace
• Swan

Miavanti
My Audubon’s Filly (by Zandon)
This name grew out of several overlapping ideas connected to Audi, performance vehicles, forward movement, and Italian-inspired language.
The starting point was Audi’s high-performance Avant vehicle line, particularly the RS6 Avant.
Because this filly is Audi’s sixth foal overall, the “Avant” concept immediately stood out.
From there, the idea evolved through several stages:
• “My Avant”
• “Mia Avant”
• and eventually “Miavanti”
The final version intentionally leans into an Italian feel.
That worked especially well because:
• “Mia” serves as a feminine Italian reference
• “Avanti” in Italian means “forward” or “ahead”
• the name carries movement and momentum
• and Zandon’s surname structure likely traces back to Italian linguistic origins
The final result blends:
• My Audubon
• Audi Avant performance references
• Italian-inspired language
• and the filly’s bold, forward-moving personality
Potential barn name:
• Mia
